 Message from the Chairman

In recent years, turbulence has encircled the international investment scene. Particularly after the financial tsunami, the status of gold has also changed tremendously as central banks and investors all over the world attach importance to it. In a global environment of low interest rates where investors have moved away from investing in high-risk products, gold has naturally emerged to take its current position in the financial world today.

China Gold is a company with gold trading as its core business. In order to adapt to changes in the global macro-environment, we have reorganized our management team in 2009, and our business has progressed tremendously with the support of our customers. We have also established a sales network in many cities in China with a front-line team that is constantly growing in numbers.

Every company is positioned uniquely with its own branding in order to earn recognition from the market and support from its customers. In 2008, China Gold was awarded the “PRO Choice Awards 2008” by Capital Weekly, a finance magazine in Hong Kong. In 2009, it was conferred the ”The Best Performance Company Award”, and again won the “PRO Choice Awards”.

We have always stood by our corporate social responsibility as the company continues its growth. The company is establishing a charity fund to bring an act of kindness to Hong Kong while cultivating an altruistic spirit in our employees. We will also work together with large-scale charity organizations in Hong Kong and China to launch different charity events to raise funds for poverty-stricken regions and victims of disasters, so that as a company, we can also do our part for the society.

The investment market develops through dynamic changes. We must ride on the market trends as we take on different challenges, raising our competitive edge in professional services to seize the opportunities that come with the changes in the global macro-environment, and continue to explore new business opportunities. With the establishment of the ASEAN-China free trade zone, we have already built strategic partnerships with the financial institutions in countries such as Indonesia and Cambodia. Strategically, we will build our roots firmly in Hong Kong with the backing of China as we expand overseas.

Last but not the least, I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to our customers for their kind support. Together with other members in the industry, our group will continue to bring Hong Kong’s financial center to the next level.
